Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is this/What are you guys doing?

A: These are permanent bracelets where we size a 14kt filled gold or sterling silver to your wrist and we use a micro-pulse arc welder to permanently close the jump ring. That way you don't have to worry about taking it on and off, unless you of course want to cut it off.

Q: What if I want to take it off/How do you take it off?

A: You can easily cut the link off with kitchen scissors! Just make sure that you cut it at the little welded jump ring in case you want it to be re-linked.

Q: What if it is too tight or too loose?

A: Your CoCo Linked Representative will confirm with you that it is the correct fit before completing the sizing process. Once confirmed, it is final sale and can not be loosened unless you purchase a new chain. However, it can always be tightened if it stretches or if you change your mind.

Q: Can I wear it in the shower, to spray tan, to the beach, etc?

A: Yes you can do all of the above!

Q: How long will it last?

A: Since it is a delicate piece of jewelry, you have to be gentle with it, but it should last you years without worrying.

Q: Will it tarnish?

A: It isn't uncommon for sterling silver to discolor over time, but the oils in your skin should resist that. If it does start to become dull, you can rub it with a polishing cloth or a baking soda mixture and it will be good as new. Gold filled will not turn completely black or silver, but over time the shine can slightly dull. This is completely normal and will happen with any piece. Rarely will the gold react with someone's skin and darken. No matter what it will still be gold!

Q: Help! My skin is starting to discolor!

A: While this is a rare occurrence, some people react poorly due to their skin’s ph level. Most people can wear the jewelry for years with no issues, while a small percentage of people may notice skin discoloration after a week. There is no way to prevent this/know if you will have a reaction unless you have experienced it in the past. If you notice this, the best thing to do is get a bracelet instead of an anklet, necklace, or ring, and polish it with a polishing cloth every once in a while.

Q: Is it hypoallergenic?

A: Our materials are considered to be hypoallergenic, unless you have a known allergy to gold or silver alloys.

Q: Have these chains been quality tested?

A: Each one of our chains has been tested by our founders and customers for durability and quality. We have many customers as well as our founders who can attest to never having an issue, and their jewelry is still in great condition after over a year of wear!

Q: What do I do if it falls off?

A: We are excited to now offer unlimited free re-links! If it falls off within the first 7 days, we require a picture for proof and we will replace it for free (if lost) or weld it back on. If it falls off and is lost within the first 60 days, we will offer you a replacement for 50% off. If you are not near a CoCo Linked team, please contact them or founder@cocolinked.net so we can come up with a solution.
